Ken Done

Since his first solo exhibition in 1980, Ken Done has become one of Australia’s most renowned and celebrated artists. His work has been described as the most original style to come out of Australia, recognised for his vibrant and bold paintings that capture the essence of the country's natural beauty and coastal lifestyle.

Among several other awards, Ken received the Order of Australia (A.M.), for services to Art, Design and Tourism in 1992. Around the globe, Ken has come to symbolise Australia and Australians: creative, optimistic and bold.

 

Two Australian icons, one incredible recipe poster. For this collaboration, we united Ken with a chef who shares the same dedication to creativity and innovation, Josh Niland. In this work, Ken has paid homage to Josh's mastery of fish butchery, showing the whole fish transformed into an artfully plated arrangement, in his signature application of bright colour and bold forms.
