Jordan Dymke

Jordan Dymke is a multidisciplinary artist whose creative journey traverses painting, drawing, digital art, ceramics, and sculpture. His self-portraits, both in 2D and sculptural forms, are evocative and expressive explorations of his body and identity, offering a deep, introspective lens into his personal narrative.

Since joining the Arts Project Australia studio in 2012, Jordan has been featured in group exhibitions across Australia. In 2020, he made his curatorial debut with the virtual exhibition Sensor at Arts Project Australia and completed a traineeship within their studio and gallery. His work is held in private collections nationwide.

Torta Paradiso

Artist Jordan Dymke immerses us in the entire world of cookbook author Julia Busuttil Nishimura in his portrayal of her Torta Paradiso - an Italian sponge cake with stewed plums. In a watercolour series, Jordan depicts a slice of the Torta Paradiso on the cook’s favourite plate, followed by jewel-like plums spilling from a bowl.
