Mikey Freedom

Mikey Freedom is a multidisciplinary artist and educator based in Kiama. His work, while showing great versatility, features rhythmic compositions of abstract shapes and human silhouettes, that embraces both art and design. 

With a career spanning many decades, Mikey’s work has contributed to some of Sydney’s most notable hospitality venues, which continue to showcase his broad artistic range - of murals, paintings, cutouts & sculpture.

Beyond his artistic endeavors, Mikey’s dedication to education reflects his passion for fostering creativity and sharing knowledge with the next generation.

In this poster, Mikey invites us into an intimate diner’s view at City Wine Shop capturing the bustling energy and sophistication of Melbourne's famed Spring Street. Crafted from hand-cut and painted pieces, Mikey’s artwork layers vibrant shapes and colours to create a dynamic scene centred around City Wine Shop’s signature Steak Tartare.
